TRANSPORTATION

What is the drop-off & pick-up procedure?
You will drop off your child at the Ranch between 7:45 and 8:00 AM where they will by greeted by a counselor. For pick up, arrive between 4:45 and 5:15 PM at the Ranch. You will be asked to show proper identification. Call for more information.

Does the Ranch offer transportation?
No, the Ranch does not offer transportation services.

 

COMMUNICATION

What if I need to get in touch with my child during the camp day?
Simply call the office number, 615-893-2767. If it is an urgent matter, you will be able to reach a program director for immediate assistance. Program directors work directly with counselors throughout the day to communicate about each camper’s needs.

How will I know what is happening day to day at camp?
You can request a copy of this schedule at drop off. 

 

PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES

What should my child bring to camp each day?
Refer to the “What to Bring” page in the information packet for a complete list. We encourage campers to apply sunscreen in the morning. Pack a backpack with a swimsuit, pool shoes, towel, and extra sunscreen. Please leave all valuables and electronics at home. Cell phones will not be needed or helpful. Please label all camper clothing and personal belongings.

What does the BRR Day Camp do if it rains?
Camp continues rain or shine. Alternate activities and programs will take place in our recreation center, rodeo arena, auditoriums, and dining hall.

When can I visit my camper at camp?
We encourage visiting parents to arrive after 3:15 and enjoy the final activities of the day. For safety and security reasons, we do not offer open visitation. We especially encourage you to attend the week’s final activities including a camper participation western “rodeo” and Illustrated Bible Message at our Rodeo Arena (Friday 2:30-4:15 PM).

Does BRR Day Camp offer extended hours for before or after camp care?
The Ranch does not offer before or after camp care.

FOOD

What are the lunches like?
Lunch time is a highlight at the Bill Rice Ranch! The menu is specially designed for kids and well balanced. Each day lunch is served in our air-conditioned dining hall. 

What if my child requires a special diet?
Anyone requiring special dietary foods must bring their own lunch if a supplement beyond the regular meal is required. Sack lunches are stored in the walk-in refrigerator each day.
