Isaiah 33:5 “The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.”

Sometimes the future can be frightening because of what we do not know. What will today hold for you? What about this year? What about this lifetime? Well, those are tough questions to answer when you don’t know the future! Despite not knowing the future, you can be confident about it because you can be confident about God. I would much rather know God, and not know the future that He has planned, than know the future in some measure but not have God.

Our society works hard at knowing the future. Amazingly, there is still a market for palm readers, horoscopes, and predictions! However, what good is knowing the future if you do not know God? Facing today without knowing the future is possible when you know the God of today and tomorrow.

The Bible says, “The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high. . . .” God is exalted and He dwells on high. In other words, God has a “bird’s-eye” view of your life, your day, and your future. You don’t know the future, but God does! Be reminded that God dwells in Heaven but He works on earth. Thank God that despite not knowing the future, we can know the One who does know the future and is exalted on high!
