Isaiah 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

God Rewards Those Who Seek Him

It was the Christmas season when my family along with some friends wanted to go see Christmas lights at a fancy mall and hotel in Nashville, TN. I knew we were in trouble when we got off on Briley Parkway because it was bumper to bumper in the exit lane for miles. We finally decided that it wasn’t worth it. As we drove past our intended exit, we could see that it was just absolutely car to car from way before the exit all the way into the parking lot which as I could see didn’t seem to have one free parking spot. I can only imagine the crush of people inside the mall and hotel.

It’s disappointing to seek something only to find your efforts thwarted. It’s even more disappointing in the more significant issues of life like getting answers to questions that you seek. In Isaiah 45, we find that God rewards those that seek Him. In verse 19 it says, “I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth.”  God is saying that He didn’t tell Israel to seek Him in vain. They will be rewarded because God rewards those who seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “He that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” I don’t know what answers you need today, but don’t go about this day diligently and urgently seeking answers to your questions without diligently seeking God. If you seek God, you’ll find the answers. Why? Because God has a purpose for your life, and even if you don’t know what that is, God does. God knows you, and He will reward those that seek Him.
