God Understands You
There is probably not a man reading this that has not said, “I just do not understand women!” Likewise, there is probably not a woman reading this that has not said, “I just do not understand men!” Well, I have good news. You both are correct!
It can be very frustrating at times to not understand people. Some people you just can’t figure out, no matter how hard you try. The only thing more frustrating than not understanding people is when people do not understand you. That is hard! Sometimes it can feel like nobody “gets it.” Sometimes it can feel like nobody understands you.
Friends did not understand Job, and Job did not understand God. He said, “I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: On the left hand… I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, and I cannot see him.” Have you ever felt that way before? You look left and right, up and down, and you cannot seem to find God.
The truth is, I do not need to understand God’s ways to be assured of the fact that He knows mine. Even when I cannot “find” God, He knows the way I take. I don’t always understand God, but He always understands me! God is righteous, all-knowing, and all-powerful, so trust Him today. Even when no one understands you, the One who made you does!
