II Chronicles 6:4 “And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying,”

Promised and Performed

Do you know someone who over-promises but under-delivers? Do you know someone who under-promises but over-delivers? I suppose I would prefer the second one! God Almighty doesn’t over- or under-promise; He keeps His promises.

What God promises, God performs. He doesn’t promise to do something that He cannot do. He doesn’t promise to do something that He will not do. He doesn’t promise to do something that He will forget to do. I’ve been guilty of over-promising when I cannot, will not, or forget to do what I promised. God never does!

God is not confined by time or space. He never forgets and never fails. What He has said, He will do. You can trust Him when He makes a promise!

You can know that God will keep His promise. Solomon could say, “[God] hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth.” You will not be disappointed because God promises and performs.

“The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken. . . .” (6:10)
